There don't seem to have been any sorcerers among the Dwarves, though they possessed magic of their own that was used mainly in the crafting of weapons, armor and other devices. The Longbeards, at least, could understand the speech of some birds (such as crows) and knew spells of secrecy and concealment that they used to hide the location of buried treasure hoards.
Then [the dwarves] brought up their ponies, and carried away the pots of gold, and buried them very secretly not far from the track by the river, putting a great many spells over them, just in case they ever had the chance to come back and recover them. - The Hobbit, "Roast Mutton"
I never noticed that! Wow :)
Dwarven magic seems to be tied to crafting. Most of their enchantments are in creating objects imbued with some kind of power or special ability, like the Doors of Moria and the Necklace of the Dwarves.
